Servando Ramos y los Texas Outlaws are the
new blood for Tejano /Conjunto music. Houston bandleader,
Servando Ramos brings a wealth of talent and experience
to the music scene. For the past 16 years Servando has played
accordion with many named bands in the industry. A few of
the groups that Servando has shared his talent with include
La Traizion, Grupo Fiel and Lisa Y Aventura, and La Fiebre.
His influences are Albert Zamora, Jaime DeAnda, Mingo Saldivar
and Ramon Ayala. Servando learned to play the accordion
at the age of 14 and has run his own recording studio for
over ten years. In the fall of 2008 Servando decided to
go his own direction and create a new group.
His first album is entitled “Traime Una Vironga”
and was released in 2009. That CD spun off the hit “Soy
Tuyo”. The single made the top ten on many radio charts
in Mexico and the USA. His new project will be released
in early spring 2011. The new CD promises to show musical
growth, development, passion and more character.
In just the few years that Servando has been in the business,
Servando Ramos y los Texas Outlaws has opened for La Mafia,
Jay Perez, Albert Zamora, David lee Garza, Jaime y los Chamacos,
The Hometown boys, Joel Guzman, and many more. They have
performed at the Festival Chicano, Mardi Gras Galveston,
Party on the Plaza, Freedom Fest, TTMA Fan Far.
The musicians in the group are a talented core. There is
Roman Leal - bajo sexto, Charlie Huitron -drums, Erik Segura
–bass, Carlos Prieto- percussion and Servando Ramos-
accordion/Lead vocals. They are a premier musical group
who can do classic and progressive Tejano/Conjunto
.
