After
playing with Intocable, accordionist Albert Ramírez,
Jr. and ex-Jaime y los Chamacos singer/bassist Johnny Lee
Rosas joined their talent in a new Mexican/regional-oriented
band called Masizzo, debuting in 1997 with La Otra Mitad
and making 100% Masizzo a year later. After issuing M3,
including the single hits "Solamente Mia" and
"Ingrata Suerte," the group achieved three nominations
for the 20th Tejano Music Awards. Masisisimo and Algo Especial
followed in 2000 and 2001, respectively.
