Both coming from strong musical backgrounds and influences, its no wonder Santiago Garza and Arturo Jimenez finally combined their talents to form Conjunto Maxximo. Born into music and taught by his father, Jose Luis Garza Sr., Santiago grew up around conjunto and learned to play accordion, drums, bass and bajo sexto. Arturo was also born into music by his father, the legendary Leonardo “Flaco” Jimenez. Arturo grew up playing drums but was also pulled in to the recording and production industry. The two have performed with many groups such as Hometown Boys,Los Tremendos V, and Flaco Jimenez just to name a few but decided that now is the time to pursue their dream of forming their own group. Conjunto Maxximo’s debut cd, Nada En Mi Conciencia, was recorded and has been released under Fiesta Records owned by Flaco Jimenez.
